Newell Rubbermaid has great products that can help the company survive.

Newell Rubbermaid (NWL) is a company I have been following for awhile. As a disclaimer I must let you know that I bought shares of the company today below $15. I have been a fan of the company below $20 and couldn't resist buying any longer.

The company has great brands like Rubbermaid, Papermate, Sharpie, Calphalon, Goody, Graco, and Dymex. Sharpie is the leader in permanenet markers and has new products like the mini sharpies. Rubbermaid is a leading storage company and used in many companies for storage and cleaning products. Graco is a leading company in the stroller and carseat division. Newell Rubbermadi also made an acquisition with a high end stroller company. Calphalon products are selling so well that the company recently suspended the employee discount it had been offering. This is great news for the company.

Newell offers above a six percent yield currently. The company gives a twenty one cent dividend quarterly. The company reports earnings on October 30th and could suprise and beat earnings especially with the success of Calphalon which is currently on a backorder for products.

I rate the stock a buy and see it going to $25 by next July.

Current Price $14.68
Target 07/2009 $25.00

*Disclaimer: I own shares of Newell Rubbermaid in my Sogotrade account*
